"Our biggest investment is our home, and now that the housing market has slowed and we're staying in our homes longer, this is the best time to make improvements to increase a home's long-term value," says Kathleen Finch, DIY's general manager. "Watching DIY's Sweat Equity shows you exactly which improvements pay off, and which don't, and the watch-and-win prizes are a great way to get those home improvement projects started."

Can you increase the value of your home by $10,000 in just two weekends? Sure you can, thanks to DIY Network's Sweat Equity, a show dedicated to helping you determine which home improvement projects will return the most bang for your buck. Is it better to install new kitchen cabinets, or just reface the old ones? Are granite countertops really worth the cost? Should you put more money into the bathroom or your kitchen? Licensed contractor Amy Matthews and her team of DIY experts help homeowners tackle these projects themselves, giving tips and techniques for building equity every step of the way. With the knowledge you gain from this show, and a little bit of sweat, you can increase the value of your home - and the enjoyment you get by living there.

Imagine spending $3,000 for concrete counter tops and finding out it added $25,000 to the value of your home. It’s possible and DIY will prove it with a $1 Million Marathon, 36 episodes of Sweat Equity, on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Watch as DIY shows $1 million worth of equity created through do-it-yourself home improvement projects, all in a back-to-back weekend marathon of the hit series Sweat Equity.
